Poker In Canada
The online poker room Poker In Canada has closed it's virtual doors.
Part of the Action Gaming network, PokerInCanada.com was merged into TigerGaming, another poker room on the same network. No player balances were harmed in this merger.
The closure of this Canadian focussed online poker room does not reflect badly on the popularity of online poker amongst Canadian players. Instead, it is a reflection of the tough economic times that we are living in.
Canadians still have a lot of choice when it comes to poker sites that they can pick from, thankfully, and there are few sites that specifically exclude players from Canada right now. The only one that comes to mind that does not welcome Canadians is the new US poker site, Bovada, which is the room that American players were migrated to when Bodog stopped accepting them. Bovada is a US only poker room, so it's not just Canadians that are not allowed to play poker there. It is relatively easy to find a Canadian friendly online casino too.
In fact, Canadian casino players have it pretty good right now, with a long list of online sites where they are more than welcome to play. Hopefully this will continue and we won't see any of the upset that other countries have had recently.

It looks like the Full Tilt saga may be drawing to a close finally, and with a happy ending for the players, as Poker Stars agrees a deal with the US DoJ to take over the defunct poker room.
Amazingly, the deal specifies that all players will get their bankrolls released within the next three months, even U.S. players though they will probably have to jump through some hoops.
It isn't clear yet just what Poker Stars will do with the Full Tilt brand. It is more than likely that most FT players already have an account at Stars.
We will all be watching with interest.
If you enjoy the thrill of poker, maybe you will also enjoy playing other games at one of many reputable online casinos. This will give you a chance to test your skills at other styles of games to see how good your gambling skills really are.
